Super Bowl Prediction : Rams over Buffalo

Welcome to the Dallas Technology Center blog, your source for the best point spreads in PC Action football league history. Can your team beat the point spreads the mighty Colossus supercomputer generates for you?

We are Silicon Valley on the Prairie and are so rich from oil and tech that we purchased the New England Patriots of the WDFL. The Dallas and Houston owners wanted too much so we bought a team no one has ever heard of based in the north east.

This prediction is based upon ten simulated seasons run in early August. It may be refreshed before the season actually starts. Point spreads will be posted weekly.

NFC Overview

The NFC boasts 4 out of the 5 top teams in the league: Seattle, Los Angeles (Rams), Chicago and Carolina. There is a huge dropoff in ranking for the NFC after those four with Minnesota the next best NFC team showing up at #12.

The winner of NFC West will likely be the NFC representative in the Super Bow and favored to win. The Rams are given the nod in spite of the average records (see below) because the numbers show them as having both the #1 offense and #1 defense in the league.

NFC East
1. Carolina (11-5)
2. Dallas (7-9)
3. Philadelphia (4-12)
4. New York (3-13)

NFC Central
1. Chicago (12-4)
2. Minnesota (7-9)
3. Green Bay (7-9)
4. Detroit (6-10)

NFC West
1. Seattle (13-3)
2. Los Angeles (R) (12-4)
3. Arizona (7-9)
4. Atlanta (5-11)

AFC Overview

Buffalo is the top team in the AFC but they are closely tailed by New England, Pittsburgh and Miami. Three of those teams are in the AFC East so it is safe to say the AFC representative will be from that division with Buffalo having a slight advantage over the others.

AFC East
1. Buffalo (12-4)
2. New England (11-5)
3. Miami (11-5)
4. Baltimore (7-9)

AFC Central
1. Pittsburgh (11-5)
2. Indianapolis (10-6)
3. Houston (8-8)
4. Cincinnati (7-9)

AFC West
1. Los Angeles (C) (8-8)
2. Oakland (6-10)
3. Denver (6-10)
4. Kansas City (3-13)

USAFL Week 4 Point Spreads

Week 3 Accuracy: 50% (6 out of 12)
Season Accuracy: 69% (25 out of 36)

+01 New York (A) (0-3) vs Boston (1-2)
Patriots get two in a row.

+01 Pittsburgh (1-2) vs Philadelphia (1-2)
Eagles had tough schedule to start: NYG, WAS, CLE.

+03 Minnesota (1-2) at Baltimore (1-2)
Vikes are playing a little better than expected.

+03 Chicago (2-1) at Detroit (0-3)
Lions are playing worst than expected. Should have at least 1 win.

+03 Oakland (1-2) at Kansas City (2-1)
Best Chiefs team in years, years!

+06 Houston (1-2) vs Denver (2-1)
San Diego snatched victory from Denver last week with 2 TDs in final 2 minutes.

+08 Green Bay (2-1) at San Francisco (3-0)
Not a good matchup for the Packers who are vulnerable against the run.

+09 Miami (1-2) at Atlanta (3-0)
Interesting offensive contrasts. Dolphins run more, Falcons pass more.

+10 Cleveland (3-0) at New York (N) (2-1)
Browns finally get first loss, Giants fresh off upset of Redskins

+13 Buffalo (2-1) at Carolina (2-1)
Bills are 2-1. Yep. They'll get some more wins before the season is over.

+20 Cincinnati (0-3) at San Diego (3-0)
All Charger games mysteriously missing play-by-play. Somebody hiring NSA techs to tamper? Hmmm?

+20 Dallas (0-3) at Washington (2-1)
One of several games the Redskins will be double digit favorites this season.
